Her Story:

My journey to becoming a therapist began in the 4th grade when I was inducted as a peer mediator for my class. Coming from a high conflict home, the skills learned from being a peer mediator was revolutionary for me and it became a beacon of hope that navigating conflict could look much different than I had witnessed throughout my life. I carried this experience with me through the rest of my formative years and eventually went off to college to earn my B.A. in Psychology. From there, I worked in an inpatient behavioral health facility as a Mental Health Technician for a little over 5 years. During that time I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas and soon became a licensed therapist. Present day I am the owner of Bird on a Wire Counseling PLLC and am a practicing Licensed Professional Counselor.

What She Offers:

I offer counseling to adult individuals who are navigating symptoms related to adverse childhood experiences, trauma, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and work-related stress (particularly with healthcare workers and first responders). Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
